Peyronie's Disease Questionnaire (PDQ)

The PD Questionnaire (PDQ) is a self-administered and standardized questionnaire with 15-items created for the intralesional collagenase trials (IMPRESS I and II). It has proven to be highly responsive to symptom changes in men with PD, making it a valuable and effective tool for clinical practice and research. PDQ evaluates symptoms and psychological effects in patients with PD who have had vaginal intercourse within the last 3 months, considering the most recent sexual experience when completing the questionnaire.

Scoring

The results section includes a total PDQ score and scores for 3 domains (Psychological/Physical Symptoms, Penile Domain Score & Symptoms Bother Domain Score). Additionally, 2 unscored yes/no questions (Q12 & Q14) will trigger a result if answered "yes."

• Total PDQ Score

  • Sum of all the points in the assessment (70 points possible)

• Psychological/Physical Symptoms Domain Score

  • Sum of all points for Q1-Q6 (24 points possible)

• Penile Pain Domain Score

  • Sum of all points for Q7-Q9 (30 points possible)

• Symptom Bother Domain Score

  • Sum of all points Q10-Q15 (16 points possible)

• Yes Response (Q12): Difficult or impossible intercourse

  • Appears only if a "yes" response

• Yes Response (Q14): Intercourse less often

  • Appears only if a "yes" response

Considerations

• A higher score means a more significant negative impact.

• Q12 & Q14 yes/no choices are not scored. If these questions are "yes", a result will appear below indicating a "yes".
